PRAYER

Stay with you.
Remain with you.
Watch and pray.

Lord Jesus,
Help us not to close our eyes
to what is to come.
Help us not to close our ears,
Or to shut down our hearts,
or our emotions
to all you went through,
As we try to walk this frightening path by your side.
Give us the courage, Lord Jesus, 
to stay close.
And enable us to catch even just the tiniest glimpse
Of what you thought -
And of how you felt
As this night unfolded.
May we stay with you
remain with you,
watching and praying
so that we understand 
how much we have to thank you for.
And then thank you 
with our lips, lives and the whole of our hearts, Amen
